How Is the Nano Fat Fill Procedure Performed?
At Chennai Plastic Surgery, the nano fat fill procedure is performed by our team of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons under general anesthesia. Just as in a regular fat grafting procedure, fat is liposuctioned from feasible areas of the body, emulsified by passing it back and forth through fine apertures between 2 syringes, followed by filtration of the lipoaspirate. Nanograft technique requires fat to be emulsified into pure liquid of very fine consistency, which is then injected as a layer under the skin in the desired areas with very fine needles. It is injected into the intradermal level of the skin for improved quality. The procedure takes about 1 – 1.5 hours.

How to Prepare for Your Procedure
You will be advised to stop smoking at least four weeks before surgery. Besides, the surgeon shall advice you to avoid certain medications such as Aspirin (blood thinning agents).
What to Expect After Your Nano Fat Fill Procedure
At Chennai Plastic Surgery, patients undergoing nano fat fill are free to get home the very same day. You may experience tenderness and mild swelling in the area where the fat was injected, but it shall settle by itself in less than a week.
You will be advised to wear customized compression garments for the first few weeks in the area of fat harvest to help minimize swelling, decrease hematoma formation and significantly decrease post operative pain. Sutures are removed a week after the surgery.
What Are the Downsides of Nano Fat Fill Procedure?
Swelling and bruising is a common occurrence following the procedure, which will subside in less than a week. Due to the underlying activity, the results may take months to show up. Nanofat grafting procedures are otherwise considered relatively safe.
