Age is definitely not a decisive factor in determining the success of liposuction. However, the age factor generally correlates with the overall fitness of the candidate to undergo a surgical procedure.

Liposuction procedures require that you are over 18 years of age, except for very rare conditions such as Gynecomastia, where the boys can be operated at as less as 13 years of age. In my experience, people up to the age of 70 can undergo liposuction if in good health.

Generally women tend to have fat that is softer and relatively less fibrous than men. This makes a liposuction easier to perform on women than men. However, it does not impact the outcome.
